Welcome! to the homepage for Maintree Farm in Leesburg, VA. We are proud to state that we have been in business for 36+ years providing lessons and boarding to the area of Loudoun County.

Allen K. Shreve, Jr. (Ken) and Laura Lee Shreve Newman started Maintree Farm 37 years ago. Ken is current joint Master of the Loudoun Hunt and has been riding from an early age. Ken successfully trained and raced Thoroughbreds on the flat tracks and in steeplechase meets. Ken is also an experienced show ring rider and has competed at the Upperville Horse Show and the Washington International Horse Show. Laura Lee was a Large Pony Champion of America in 1951. She also won the Virginia State Championship numerous times. Laura Lee was the 3rd woman Licensed Flat Jockey in the United States. Between them they rode many Thoroughbred winners on the flat tracks and in steeplechase meets.  

Maintree Farm owners are active members in American Horse Shows Association (AHSA), Virginia Horse Shows Association (VHSA), Maryland Horse Shows Association (MHSA), Pennsylvania Horse Shows Association PHSA), Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA) Allen K. Shreve, Jr. being a Master for The Loudoun Hunt, National Steeplechase Association (NSA), Virginia Steeplechase Association (VSA), and the Virginia Point to Point Association (VPPA).
